Accessibility Statement

SOLA Suncare is committed to making our website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. This statement sets out our current accessibility posture and the path we are taking to reach full conformance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882, in effect since 28 June 2025) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Conformance Status

Current status: Partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA.

The content of sola-sun.com is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA. "Partially compliant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working to address known gaps through the launch of the commercial store in Q4 2026.

What We Have Done

• Semantic HTML structure (headings, landmarks, form labels) throughout primary pages.
• Sufficient text-to-background contrast ratios on body copy, navigation, and calls to action.
• Alt text on primary product and brand imagery.
• Keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive elements where technically feasible.
• Screen-reader-compatible labels on the waitlist form and hero elements.
• Responsive layouts that adapt to screen sizes down to 320 px wide.
• Video content with silent auto-play by default; audio is user-activated to prevent surprise.

Known Limitations

We are actively working on the following areas:

• Video captions and transcripts. Our hero and product videos do not currently carry captions or written transcripts. We are producing these ahead of the Q4 2026 commercial launch.
• Formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit. A third-party accessibility audit by a qualified assessor is scheduled before the commercial store opens. Findings will be remediated and documented here.
• PDF documents. Any downloadable PDFs published on the site will be reviewed for tagging, heading structure, and alt text. Legacy PDFs may not yet meet these standards.
• Third-party content. Embedded elements from third-party services (Klaviyo forms, analytics, social media widgets) may not always meet AA standards. We prioritise selecting vendors with documented accessibility conformance and disable any that do not meet baseline standards.
